| It's been my experience that numerous Asian countries are still into corny themes like that. Especially the Philippines.  It could be due to the fact that these countries are still very much into pop music. Unlike the U.S. where our pop stars either came out of the closet, judged dance shows, got married with their own reality tv show, did a revealing halftime show or got with a loser dancer and shaved their head. | |

| like i said its a verdy conservitive state. korea (and most other east asian states) are still rather new if you look at it from a modern viewpoint. korea went from 3rd world poor agriculture to 1st world devloped in 50 years. japan maybe 60 or 70. most of the reason that the stuff they have is the way it is; is the influence of relision and other belief systems like that. western and eastern ideals are very different and you cant expect someone of lady gaga's or brittany spears' archtype to show up there yet. but they are ever changing and beiong influenced by our pop culture. give it a little time and they will be just like us. haha | |
